Last day of school...
Anna likes to empty the dishwasher...
The kids are doing the summer reading program at the library. It's fun and a good way to encourage reading. But! The prizez stink this year. Last year they gave away coupons for free kids meals and OWLS tickets, etc. This year they've gotten a sucker and a plastic snake. They aren't complaining though.
Yesterday we (Wes and I) finished pouring our concrete patio and sidewalk. I think we did about 5 1/2 yards of concrete. It took 6 hours, 6 gatorades, one babysitter ( thanks Mom), sunscreen, sore knees, and backs, and arms, and hands... but now it's done and I'm so excited to have a place to sit in the back that isn't dirt. Plus we've tripled the kids bike riding area.
While I wait for the super slow video to upload I had to change Annas diaper. I went to take it to the garbage outside but instead walked to the mailbox, opened it, and realized- Um, wrong place! Pretty sure we might never get mail again if the mail lady were to open the mailbox and find a stinky diaper. HAHA!
Yup, still waiting. So ...Here's what I love about my kids.
Kaylee- While waiting in line at the grocery store she goes over to look at the science magazine.
Kara- Doesn't just walk, she bounces. Watch next time you see her- it's super cute.
Andrew- Such a BOY! He could spend all day just digging in the dirt or working with Dad.
Anna- Really, what's not to love? She's just so cute! And funny! I don't even know how many times a day I laugh at her(not in a bad, mean way).
All of them- They are really just so smart and curious and not afraid to be nerdy (thanks Dad and Danny and David for being nerdy examples. We had to have a talk with Kaylee about this because she came home upset that someone had called her a nerd. So I told her it's ok to be a nerd. Look at Grandpa, David and Danny. All nerds!). They don't just play outside, they scour the backyard and beyond for plant "specimens" to put in their "laboratory".
Oh, Andrew's latest funny- "It's taller than a donkey in a top hat!" or "It's hotter than a donkey on fire" or whatever he comes up with. Hee- larious.

Your kids certainly are fun. And, it's the nerds that get the better paying jobs, right?
What a fun summer!
