My Side Of The Story

Kaylee put her story on her blog. Here is my version.
About three weeks ago Steve brought home a trampoline. I think the first word out of my mouth were " I don't WANT a trampoline. Someone's going to fall off and break their arm!"
So Sunday after chirch the kids went outside to play. Wes left to go to a meeting. Next thing I know Kaylee's laying on the ground in the weeds crying. I go out to see what's wrong and she says " I think I broke my arm". I brought her in the house and tried calming her down without success. Wes gets home and takes her to her room to try to calm her down. Nothing- still crying and saying her arm is broken. So I took her to the instacare where the doctor took one look at her swollen elbow and sent us to the ER saying that if the brake is above the elbow an orthopedic surgeon would need to look at it. So we head to the PACKED ER to wait and wait and wait. We ended up sitting on a bench outside to wait because neither of us could deal with all the sick people in the waiting room. They brought us in to have her x-rayed and I could see that her arm was broken. They didn't have a room for us though so we went back outside. Wes's neice Melanie and her son Daxton were there too and after a while Wes's sister Janet and her husband Ray showed up too. (Thanks Ray for keeping us company while we waited.) Finally we got to see a doctor who said her arm was broken. An ER tech came in and put a splint on and they sent us home with instructions to call an orthopedic surgeon to get it casted. So now we wait until Thursday to get a cast. Meanwhile, she had to miss her class feild trip today. Oh well, I guess life happens.

That's too bad. We had a trampoline growing up, and we were all pretty crazy on it, but none of us broke any bones. (I don't know how that happened) Poor girl.
