We Made It!

Well, we (meaning I) survived! I went and bought a portable DVD player for the car and I'm pretty sure it saved us. We drove to Reno the first day then on to Monterey and there was almost no fighting! We had lots of snacks and fun movies and frequent stops to feed Anna- who slept the whole drive- and we had fun. I'm still waiting to get pictures from Jenny because my camera never left my purse. Jenny was the unofficial trip photographer. So stay tuned for fun pics of the drive, the beach, Monterey Aquarium, Merced Ag. museum, cheese factory, and slip and slide.

What Am I Thinking!?

So we head out to California tomarrow... Me and the kids- no Wes. A 12 hour drive with 4 kids, one of whom is 2 months old and just got 5 immunizations! Really, what was I thinking? The closer it gets the more nervous I get. Fortunately Jenny is riding with us so I won't be completely by myself but still - yikes.

Kaylee's First Tooth!

Kaylee lost her first tooth today!

Wes was helping her brush before bed and noticed that she has two big teeth growing in behind the baby teeth! One of them was really loose and Wes deemed it ready to come out.

Wes: "Let's pull it out!"

Kaylee: "Noooooo!"

Wes: "Come on, it doesn't hurt."

Kaylee as she runs away: "No way"

So Kaylee went to bed. Then a few minutes later...

Kaylee: "OK you can pull it out"

So Wes tried pulling it out with dental floss- didn't work. Then he tried silk (for stitches)- it broke. So he trid one more time with the silk- it came out!

Kaylee was so excited! She didn't want to be the only one in her class to not loose a tooth. She cut it pretty close though, only two days left of school!

Little Red Riding Hood

Kaylee's first grade class put on a play of Little Red Riding Hood. It was really cute. Kaylee was a narrator and a forest animal. She chose to be a fox.

Random Things

Playing in the dirt. At least I won't have to weed the garden- they don't give the weeds a chance to grow!
So much for tummy time. I put her down and she fell asleep. This is her favorite afternoon nap spot.

This is where Andrew likes to be while I feed Anna. Here or laying across my lap, or leaning against my arm.
