Day 10 part 2

Here's our basement.

They even dropped off lumber. No wonder they build so fast- there is no wasted time.

Day 10

Pouring the basement and garage floor.

p.s. someone moved into the spec house today.

Day 9

More backfill and they are working on the rock retaining wall for the walk to the front door.

Day 8

Tar coating and backfill today. They were still working at 6:30.

They used this big compacter and two smaller remote control compacters.

Day 7

They poured the basement walls yesterday. It's coming along. I forgot to bring my camera, though, so no pictures today!

Tulip Festival

Saturday we went to the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point Gardens. It was fun. The kids liked looking at the flowers and the different styles of gardens. I think their favorite part was finding where we were on the map.  Since Anna wouldn't take pictures at the studio I tried to do some of my own. Not the best but still cute. And for some reason blogger won't keep my edits. I cropped and rotated these pictures but it's all undone here.

Day 6 part 2

Here's what they did Friday.

Day 6

A little foundation work. Too rainy to do much.

Day 5

They poured footings yesterday. I guess it wasn't as muddy as I thought it would be. We are a little confused by the three levels of footings for a rambler with a basement but I guess they know what they're doing.

Day 4

Still nothing. It poured rain today. The backyard is like  a swamp. This may slow things down a bit. I don't think they can pour concrete on muck.

The Build- Day 3

Nothing

Day 2?

Do I count weekends? I don't know. For now I won't. Either way, no change on Monday. I liked the shadow of the machine, though.

Anna is one year old!

She's doing so well. She is a very happy, sweet, easy baby (except during Sacrament Meeting where she just wants to get down and crawl up the ramp to the stand.). I laugh at  and with her so many times a day.

This is one of her new favorite places to play.

Here are some of her stats:

Weight- 17 lbs 10 oz, 5th% ( that means 95% of baby girls her age weigh more than her)

Height- 28.5 inches, 31st %

Walking- a few steps when she wants to.

Words- Mama, Dada, yeah, hi, "ah duh" (all done)

The Build- Day 1

Spring Break

So. I'll admit I was nervous about spring break. How was I going to keep the kids entertained? Would they sit in front of the TV all day? Would they drive me crazy? But so far, so good. Monday we cleaned the whole house -and only one child complained! It snowed, what else were they going to do. Tuesday was Wes's day off so after getting haircuts for Kaylee and Anna we went to JCW's and the Dinosuar museum. Wednesday was a surprise because Wes came home at about 10:00- done for the day. We played then the kids went to Julie's house while we went to the temple. They've only been asking for at least a month to go to Julie's to play. Today it's nice and warm so the kids spent a couple of hours outside then we went to sign papers to close on selling our lot. Tomorrow should be another good day- playing at Grandma's house. Then the weekend and school again. Whew!
